The present invention relates to a transmission device for a motor vehicle, notably a motorized at least two-wheeled vehicle, comprising a drive shaft (12) bearing at least two driving gear wheels (14, 16), a receiving shaft (48) bearing at least two driven gear wheels (50, 52), and an intermediate movement-transmission shaft (42) bearing fixed gear wheels (44, 46) engaging with the gear wheels of the drive shaft (12) and of the receiving shaft (48). According to the invention, the device comprises two movement transmission paths (T1, T2) for transmitting movement between the drive shaft (12) and the receiving shaft (48) comprising gear wheels (14, 50; 16, 52) borne by the drive shaft and the receiving shaft and fixed gear wheels (44, 46) borne by the intermediate shaft, and the drive shaft and/or the receiving shaft bears two controlled-operation couplings (18, 20; 56, 74) for connecting the shaft to the gear wheels. |
