The invention relates to a locking device for a transport wheel. The locking device 20 comprises a lock 21 which has been mounted in the frame of the transport wheel and a toothing 22,23 which has been configured in the pole(s) 12a,13a of the bearing wheel(s) 12,13 supporting the transport wheel, which toothing, in interaction with the locking device 21, is arranged as the need arises to lock the bearing wheel(s) 12,13 so that it is/they are/non- rotatable. The lock 21 is configured in a single piece, which is pivotably hinge-connected to the frame 11 of the transport wheel and is provided with a grip toothing 24,25, which, upon rotation of the locking device 21 about the bearing joint 28,29, can be pivoted in engagement with the toothing 22,23 of the bearing wheel so as to lock the wheel and, in a corresponding manner, be released from the engagement. <IMAGE>
