The trolley comprises a chassis (2), at a fixed height relative to the ground, having two horizontal arms (4) with rear castors (5), and a front steering wheel (6). A support plate (13) carries an assembly (12) forming a pump (16), a hydraulic actuator (24) and a support (14) for the front steering wheel. The actuator rod (26) is supported underneath a support head (27) and cannot move axially in the actuator body. In the exterior of the rod is an orifice which communicates with the actuator pressure chamber through a longitudinal channel in the rod. An elevator bulkhead (49), which has a pallet lifting fork (51), is guided by guides (52). A hydraulic lifting actuator (57), longer than the first actuator is mounted between a lower part (46) of the chassis and an upper part (58) of the elevator bulkhead. The pressure chamber of the lifting actuator is connected through a pipe (62) to the orifice in the first actuator rod.
