PURPOSE:To reduce cost and to improve system performance by generating a high-accuracy mask pattern on the server side even when a processing object at a work station is thinned image data. CONSTITUTION:A processing unit(WS) 10 is connected through a communication line 16 to an image managing unit (server) 12 for managing a data base 14 storing real image data. A teacher data preparing means 18 of the processing unit 10 prepares mask teacher data 40 showing an object contour with thinned image data 36 provided from real image data 34 stored in the data base 14 as an object and transfers those teacher data to the image processing unit 12 as a server. With the transferred mask teacher data 40 as a reference (guidance), a mask data preparing means 30 of the image managing unit 12 prepares mask data 42 showing the object contour from the real image data 34 in the data base 14. |
