The actuator for a linear tracking type optical pick-up device comprises an object lens holder(36) directly inserted in the center of a yoke(32) mounted in a baseplate, a spiral coil spring(40) with a suspension function installed in the object lens holder, a focusing adjustment coil(42) wound perpendicular to a tracking adjustment coil(44) on the periphery of the object lens holder, and an object lens(46) mounted on one side of the object lens holder and a weight valance(48) on the other side thereof.
