BENT GRASS AND INTRODUCTION OF ENDOPHYTE TO BENT GRASS

PURPOSE:To impart bent grass with insect resistance and disease tolerance and promote the growth of bent grass by separating an endophyte symblotic to a plant other than bent grass, artificially proliferating the endophyte and inoculating and infecting to bent grass. CONSTITUTION:An endophyte symbiotic to a plant other than bent grass (e.g. oats) is separated and artificially proliferated. The artificially proliferated endophyte is inoculated to the plant body, seed or cultured product of bent grass. The inoculated endophyte is infected to and introduced into the plant body or the cultured product of the bent grass to promote the growth of the host plant while surviving the plant.
