PURPOSE:To provide an aluminum-air battery capable of preventing the corrosion of an aluminum electrode without adding lead, causing no environmental lead pollution, and having a long life at low cost. CONSTITUTION:The aluminum-air battery 12 is provided with an aluminum electrode 11, an air electrode 12, and an electrolyte 13 provided between both electrodes. The aluminum electrode 11 is made of an Al-Ga-In alloy, and the weight ratio of Ga against In is 2-4. The total quantity of Ga and In in the Al-Ga-In alloy is 0.2-0.8wt.%, the Al used in the Al-Ga-In alloy preferably has the purity of 99.9% or above, Ga the purity of 99.99& or above, and In the purity of 99.99% or above respectively. The electrolyte 12 preferably contains In. |
