Fuel pumped (2) from a reservoir (3) is returned, via connecting pipes (4). Fuel pressure for injection is measured by manometer (5) and flow-rates for each injector associated with the burner (1) are also metered (7), using recirculation pipework (6), for which the injectors are suitably modified. The burner terminal box (10) is connected to a control panel (8), and to a monitor cabinet (9), where operational conditions are indicated by tell-tale lamps. An electrical or electronic simulator unit (11) produces signals corresponding to flame conditions.For operator training, a monitor console (12), also connected to the burner terminal box, allows normal controls and safety devices to be overridden to simulate break-downs.
