PURPOSE:To reduce changeover shock at the time of changeover between partial cylinder operation and all cylinder operation by reducing feed oil pressure to a clutch once into first oil pressure by means of a first pressure reducing means, reducing pressure further at a first slope by means of a second pressure reducing means, when the operation of an engine is changed over from all cylinder operation to partial cylinder operation. CONSTITUTION:When the operation of an engine 1 is changed over from all cylinder operation to partial cylinder operation, feed oil pressure to a damper clutch 28 is reduced into first oil pressure once by means of a first pressure reducing means, and is further reduced at a first slope by means of a second pressure reducing means. As a result, the damper clutch 28 falls rapidly into the state of non-direct connection or the state of slipping with very small torque, and torque change following cylinder changeover is absorbed. Afterwards, feed oil pressure to the damper clutch 28 is increased at a second slope by means of a pressure decreasing means, and transfer to a partial cylinder operation time operation state in which, for example, feedback control is made so as to slip at a predetermined slip amount, is carried out. |
