PURPOSE:To obtain an insecticidal miticide composition exhibiting excellent effect on agricultural and horticultural harmful insects and mites of lowly sensitive strain as well as sensitive strain by synergistic action. CONSTITUTION:This insecticidal miticide composition contains (A) a pyrazole compound of formula I (R<1> is a 1-8C alkyl; R<2> is a halogen or H; R<3> to R<5> each is a l-4C alkyl; A<1> and A<2> each is a 1-4C alkylene; R<6> is H or a l-4C alkyl), e.g. N-acetyl-N-{2[4-(2-ethoxyethyl)-2-methylphenoxy]ethyl}-1,3-dimethyl-5- pyrazolecarboxamide and (B) a pyrethrin synergist, preferably piperonyl butoxide. The amount of the component B is 0.01-100pts.wt., preferably 0.1-20 pts.wt. based on 1 pt.wt. of the component A. The compound of formula I is produced by reacting a compound of formula II with a compound of formula III (X is a halogen or R<3>COO) in a solvent or in the absence of solvent. |
