The driven wheel (30) has the outer hub driven by a push crank assembly. This comprises a crank wheel (38) with an eccentrically mounted crank rod (37). The driven wheel (30) is operated through a drive wheel (7). The outer part of the wheel hub provides a free-wheel assembly.Power is transferred from the crank wheel (38) to the rear wheel to the drive wheel (7) by a chain (36). A ball slip coupling between the drive wheel (7) and the outer hub of the driven wheel (30) overcomes the dead point of the crank assembly.
