PURPOSE:To obtain a heating/fixing device having its superior abrasion resistance and slide characteristics for a long period of time and the manufacture thereof by using a heater in which an amorphous carbon hydride film or a diamond-shaped carbon film, a diamond film, or a hard carbon film is formed as a lubrication protection film. CONSTITUTION:An amorphous carbon hydride film or diamond-shaped carbon film 18, diamond film, or hard carbon film is formed by means of a gas phase synthesizing method via an intermediate layer 19 on the insulation protection film of a heater 1. This heater 1 is fixed and supported by means of a heater support part 9 via a heat-resistive heater holder 8. And, a recording material 16 comes into close contact with a film 10 surface, moves together with the film 10, and passes through a fixing nip part 15, and in its movement and passing-through process, thermal energy is given to the recording material 16 via the film 10 from the heater 1, and a non-fixed toner image 17 is heated, molten, and fixed on the recording material 16. |
