The device is designed to form the boundaries of specified areas, particularly in lawns. It consists of a border element, in the form of a continuous band, or a series of elements, each in the form of a plate (1) and suitable to be arranged edge to edge to form a continuous boundary. The elements of the border are formed with a channel section (3), projecting from one of the faces. The channel section is produced to form a closed conduit, provided with the means (7) of inserting electric cable (4), and/or water pipes, which can then be carried around the boundary to required points.
