Quality management of prodn. processes using statistical quality control

Quality management of prodn. processes uses statistical quality control. Test data for the quality of the products are produced and fed to an analyser. The data are analysed on the principle of quality control charts to monitor the observance of intervention limits (1, 2, 3, 4). At the same time process changes are identified using a Shewhart control chart and excessively high defect rates in the products using an acceptance control chart when the intervention limits are exceeded. The actual state of the process is then shown on a display and/or the process is stopped automatically.
