<p>PURPOSE:To suppress instability in the operated value of alarm distance due to fluctuation in the distance data by enhancing the accuracy of distance measurement in the vicinity of detection limit. CONSTITUTION:When the distance operated by a distance operating means 107 is longer than a predetermined distance and the output from means 105 for amplifying/adding the receiving signal of reflected light has a peak value lower than a predetermined value, distances operated by the distance operating means 107 are sampled. An operation control means 111 sets a predetermined number of distances being sampled by means 109 for operating the relative speed of a vehicle to a forward object.</p> |
