PURPOSE:To provide a printer equipped with a mechanism capable of certainly removing or recovering the ink thickened matter accumulated in a preparatory emission receiver. CONSTITUTION:The end part 800a on the side of an emitting orifice forming member 400 of a lid member 800 is a scraping part. This scraping part 800a protrudes toward a preparatory emission receiving part from the surface of the emitting orifice forming member 400 and the cross section thereof has a spire shape. The scraping part 800a is integrally formed as a part of the lid member 800. A scraping part 600b may be integrally formed to the end part on the side of the orifice surface of an ink supply member 600a. An ink recovery space 600c for recovering the thickened ink I scraped off by the scraping part 600b may be provided in the ink supply member 600a.
