A machine tool comprising: a tool holder for holding a tool; a main shaft for detachably holding the tool holder; a main shaft supporting portion for rotatably supporting the main shaft; a drive means for rotating the main shaft at the main shaft supporting portion; a rotation locking means for locking the tool holder against rotation about the main shaft supporting portion; and a cutting oil supply means for supplying cutting oil to the tool through the rotation locking means.
