摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxidative dehydrogenation catalysts exhibiting excellent catalytic activity in an oxidative dehydrogenation reaction which provides alkadiene such as 1,3-butadiene by the oxidative dehydrogenation reaction using alkane such as butane as raw material.SOLUTION: The oxidative dehydrogenation catalyst is a catalyst for an oxidative dehydrogenation reaction providing alkadiene by oxidative dehydrogenating alkane having 4 to 6 carbon atoms, and is metal oxide containing at least one or more kind of metal atoms of a nickel atom, a cobalt atom and a zirconium atom (metal atom A), a magnesium atom and a vanadium atom, and has a percentage of the number of moles of the magnesium atom in terms of atom to the total number of moles of nickel, cobalt, zirconium and magnesium in terms of atoms, of 40 to 80 mol%, a percentage of amount of vanadium in terms of VOto the sum of the amount of nickel in terms of NiO, the amount of cobalt in terms of CoO, the amount of zirconium in terms of ZrO, the amount of magnesium in terms of MgO and the amount of vanadium in terms of VO, of 5 to 30 mass%.
