<p>PURPOSE:To provide a DSP which performs DCT/IDCT operation fast. CONSTITUTION:Two-dimensional 8X8 image data (X) of an actual space which are inputted from an IO part 15 are stored in a memory 14 and inputted, line by line, to a comprocessor part 20 through a data bus 17. The comprocessor part 20 stores the sequentially inputted data in a pipeline register and performs specific adequate operation for specific data being passed through the pipeline register through a multiplier, an adder subtracter, an adder, and a subtracter. The operation is performed as to 8 lines to find (Y)=(X)(M<t>). Further, this process is repeated to find (Z<t>)=(Y<t>)(M<t>). Then the computing element 12 of a main processor part 1 calculates (C)=(1/4)(W)(Z)(W<t>) to find 8X8 image data (C) in a frequency space.</p> |
