Tumour specific mRNA (I) is detected in a biological sample by: (1) taking and processing the sample; (2) isolating (I) from it; (3) converting (I) to cDNA (II); (4) amplification of (II) by PCR, using tumour specific primers (III), then (5) detection of amplified DNA.
