PROJECTION UNIT FOR PROJECTOR

PURPOSE: To provide an inexpensive projection unit for a projector with satisfactory workability, by which correspondence to a screen size and the change of a projection posture is easy through the use of the projection unit of the same constitution. CONSTITUTION: The unit is separated into a projection tube block where a projection tube 21 is fitted to a projection tube frame 51 through a projection tube packing 29 in a watertight state and a lens block where a projection lens 28 is fitted to a lens frame 53 through a lens packing 30 in a watertight state. The blocks are freely movably connected by filling cooling refrigerant liquid 32 between the blocks as it is by installing a sliding packing member 50 between the inner surface 51d of the projection tube frame 51 and the external surface 53g of the lens frame 53. Grease and the like are applied to the sliding packing member 50 and sliding resistance when the frame moves is reduced.
