PURPOSE: To provide a mite repellent for textile products which contains, as an active ingredient, an aliphatic dibasic acid dialkyl ester showing excellent repellency against indoor dust mites and can be applied to the textile products in the single form or in the resin emulsion form. In case of the latter form, washing resistance is imparted to the products. CONSTITUTION: This mite repellent for textile products comprises an aliphatic dibasic acid dialkyl ester of the formula (R1 , R2 are each H, a 1-8C straight or branched alkyl; n is 4-8) as an active ingredient. Or the repellent is combined with at least one of acrylic resins, polyester resins and urethane resins to show excellent repellency against indoor dust mites as well as washing resistance for textile products. This active ingredient is also used as a plasticizer for plastics and shows excellent safety, heat resistance or weather resistance. This mite repellent can be applied to clothes, bedding, floor tiles, carpets, coating, artificial leather and upholstery. |
