<p>PURPOSE: To suppress the decline of transmission efficiency and a transmission speed while taking a cell loss countermeasure and a bit error countermeasure inside an ATM network in B-ISDN. CONSTITUTION: Data encoded in a data encoding part 11 and decision signals H for which whether or not error correction is to be performed is decided from network management information are multiplexed on frames in a frame constitution part 12. Error correction encoding is performed in an error correction part 13 only for the data for which it is decided that the error correction is to be performed. For the other data, a delay processing is performed in a variable delay circuit 14 so as to prevent a timing from colliding with error correction encoded data (b) and output (c) is attained. The outputs (b) and (c) are time sequentially and successively led out in a selector 15 and sent out to a network.</p> |
