<p>PURPOSE: To reduce the range of light branch and convergence and to attain object detection using light having plural traveling routes by irradiating an object to be irradiated with at least one of plural separated light beams and detecting the object by the variation of reflected light. CONSTITUTION: Laser light outgoing from a light source 1 is separated into plural different directions by a separating means 2 and is projected to the outside. An object 4 to be irradiated is irradiated with laser beams 3a to 3c separated and projected to the outside and a part of the beams 3a to 3c is made incident upon the object detecting element as reflected light 5. The reflected light is detected by a detecting means 6, so that the object 4 can be detected. The reflected light 5 is separated into plural traveling routes by the separating means 2 consisting of a diffraction grating and one of the separated routes is detected by the means 6. Thereby the position, moving direction, etc., of the object 4 can be detected by analyzing the information of plural separated reflected light beams in addition to the detection of the reflected light 5.</p> |
