PURPOSE: To provide a high-precision electroformed copper type accelerating tube having a structure in which a cavity changes little in volume by decreasing distortions caused by electroforming forces. CONSTITUTION: This accelerating tube is assembled into a configuration in which spacers 6 are arranged on both sides of a plurality of discs 5, and is held in place by an electroformed copper portion 7 formed outside the spacers. The thickness of the electroformed copper portion 7 is specified to be 3.0 to 7.0mm so as to lower the level of electroforming forces during electroforming, and the wall thickness ratio [wall thickness/ (outside diameter)<2> ] of the spacer 6 is 5.9×10<-4> or more to provide a thick wall, and the surface roughness of the spacer 6 and the disc 5 has a maximum height of 0.32μm or less so that the electroforming forces working on the discs 5 are put in symmetry and uniformly applied.
