PURPOSE: To provide an electrostatic image forming apparatus equipped with a charge generation control element increasing resolving power, image quality and durability to a large extent and enabling low voltage driving. CONSTITUTION: An electrostatic image forming apparatus is constituted by using a charge generation control element consisting of an insulating substrate 1 composed of quartz, the line electrode 2 composed of a metal formed on the substrate 1, a dielectric layer 3 composed of a three-layered structure of the first and second insulating films 3-1, 3-3 composed of SiO2 formed on the line electrode 2 and the SOG film 3-2 held between the insulating films, the finger electrode 4 composed of a metal formed on the dielectric layer and the screen electrode 7 having screen holes 8 formed on the finger electrode 4 through an insulating film 6. |
