The press has upper and lower parts (1,2) supported by a series of frames (14). Each part has an endless belt (3) of steel plates which carries the partially formed board (V) through an inlet (5) to a binder maturing first press area (16) into a secondary press area (17) and out through outlet (6). The belt moves in contact with an endless series of rollers in turn running over heating plates (8). The board enters the secondary press area with heated edges. Transverse parts support a chain of plates (18) moving with and applying pressure to both edges of the board to complete the shaping and compression.
