PURPOSE: To provide a monolithic ceramic capacitor which relaxes the contraction difference, between a high-dielectric layer and an elevated part for an internal elec trode, which is generated when a binder is removed and a firing operation is performed by a method wherein parts in which the internal electrode is not printed are formed at prescribed intervals in the peripheral edge part of an internal-electrode pattern. CONSTITUTION: In an internal-electrode pattern 4, void parts 7, 50μm in diameter, in which an internal electrode is not printed up to a part at the inside of 0.5mm from respective tip parts are formed regularly in a zigzag arrangement in its peripheral edge part. The pattern is printed on a high-dielectric layer 1, one hundred sheets of this assembly are laminated alternately, and they are thermocompression-bonded so as to be cut to raw chips. After that, corner parts are rubbed mutually, a binder is removed at 300 deg.C, and the chips are fired at 950 deg.C. Since the void parts 7, in a definite shape, in which the internal electrode is not printed are formed regularly in the zigzag arrangement in an elevated part for the internal-electrode pattern 4, it is possible to relax the contraction difference, between the high-dielectric layer and the elevated part for the internal electrode, which is generated when the binder is removed and a firing operation is performed.
