PURPOSE: To reduce the ground contact pressure to a normal value for preventing a vehicle from slipping due to air pressure reduction after parking when an engine key is turned off in a vehicle equipped with a start assisting apparatus for increasing the ground contact pressure of a drive shaft. CONSTITUTION: A driven shaft of two rear shafts is equipped with a start assisting apparatus using a pneumatic springs 505 to increase the ground contact pressure of the drive shaft 200 and the traction in the start or the like of a vehicle. A controller 800 opens an exhaust valve B830 when the controller detects an engine key turned off, and exhausts air in the pneumatic spring 50 so that a parking brake force shared by the drive shaft tire is returned to a steady state.
