PURPOSE: To provide a fitting support member allowing a jig to be correctly positioned between the reference holes of a fixture base, that is, in a position where no reference hole is formed and also allowing the jig to be positively fitted again into the previously fitted position even in the case of being once removed from the fixture base. CONSTITUTION: A fitting support member 10 is constituted of first, second and third support members. The first support member 16 is fixed onto a fixture base through the reference holes. The second support member 18 is slidingly adjusted to the first support member 16 and fixedly disposed on the first support member 16. The third support member 20 is slidingly adjusted to the second support member 18 in the orthogonal direction to the sliding direction and fixedly disposed on the second support member 18. A jig is then fitted to the third support member 20. The jig is thereby fitted between the reference holes, that is, in a position where no reference hole is formed.
