The method involves determining a quality value for the reception quality of the signal received in the tuned channel as a function of at least one measurement parameter and the reception of radio signals on the neighbouring channels.Monitoring can be on neighbouring channels at spacings of 100 kHz and 200 kHz to the tuned channel by taking field strength measurements.
