Wire cable cleaner, esp. for material handling systems in mining

The cleaner has an upper sleeve (7) which can rotate at a roller bearing (4,5) coupling w.r.t. a lower bearing sleeve (1). The sleeves are split longitudinally each having two parts held together by bolted connections (1,11'). The head (16) of the upper sleeve has adjustable bolts (20) with scraper cleaning heads (8) in sockets arranged radially w.r.t. the longitudinal axis of symmetry (01) of the cleaner. The cleaning heads are positioned to be in contact with the cable which is scraped clean as it is drawn through the sleeves. The turn sleeve rotates with the twist of the outer wire layers.
