The appts. directs a broad-band radiation source (Breitbandige Strahlquelle) onto the body (Korper), which absorbs some of the radiation and reflects the remainder. This is measured by a spectral analyser (Messeinheit Spektrale Messung). The results are relayed to a computer (Rechner mit Steuerung). The best radiation frequency and dose is calculated. The dose is applied by a selective radiation therapy unit (Selektive Strahlquelle regelbare Therapieeinheit). It ensures that only radiation in the absorbent range is sent to the body. A different beam source is used according to the medical condition.
