An innovative application of the new dry couplant AqualeneTM has been developed. The BallprobeTM is an improvement over the standard methods of probe motion using dr y coupling such as the boot and wheel probes. Improved near surface resolution and feasibil ity to use higher frequencies have been demonstrated. Superior freedom of motion is accomplished b y the new probe design than was not possible using previous dry-coupled probe designs.
