The tool comprises a cylindrical socket (2) which drives in rotation an element (1'). The socket terminates in a male or female end adapted to be of complementary form to the element to be gripped. First (3) and second (4) rings of the device are mounted concentrically on the body of the socket, slippery. The second ring comprises a scale with several graduations (411). The first ring provides a graduation (32) used as reference. This enables the measurement of the relative angular displacement of the rings, by comparing the displacement between the graduations. The second ring also comprises a device which allows it to be stationary with respect to the element.
