PURPOSE: To provide a vehicle type agricultural machine for traveling on a non-graded ground which can change the steering system in accordance with the working form, i.e., the front wheel steering and rear wheel steering are operated independently or the four wheels are used for steering simultaneously, wherein the vehicle is prevented from starting to run immediately after the run in an undeliberate direction by turning into the front wheel steering system automatically regardless of the currently adopted steering system when the engine is once started. CONSTITUTION: A four-wheel steering device concerned has a front wheel steering mechanism 1 and rear wheel steering mechanism 2 and performs steering by changing over the combination of the mechanism operations from a steering mode switch 3, i.e., whether independently or interlockingly, wherein the mode switch 3 is turned into the front wheel steering mode 5 at the time of starting the engine 4 and the rear wheel steering mechanism 2 is set in the straight run condition. |
