The method involves preheating the combustion air. Part of the fuel is branched off and mixed with the combustion air in superstochiometric fashion before being heated. The combustion air and the branched off part of the fuel are preheated to a temp. at which essentially flameless oxidation of the branched off part of the fuel occurs. The resulting mixture of combustion air and oxidation products is combined with the remaining component of the fuel for oxidation. The fuel is branched off in a quantity which gives a mixture with the combustion air which is non-combustible at room temp. A connecting line from a gas line to a preheating device contains a magnetic control valve. |
