<p>Substituted imidazo[1,2-1][1,4]benzodiazepines have the general formula (I), in which R1 is hydrogen, lower alkyl, lower hydroxyalkyl, lower alkanoyloxy-lower alkyl, 2-pyridyl, phenyl, optionally substituted by lower alkoxy or lower dialkylamino; R2 is phenyl, optionally substituted by 2-halogen; R3 is -C(O)R5 or -C(OH)HR5; R4 is hydrogen, lower alkyl, lower hydroxyalkyl, carboxy, lower alkoxycarbonyl or phenyl, optionally substituted by lower alkoxy; R5 is hydrogen or lower alkyl. These compounds, as well as their pharmaceutically acceptable salts, may be used as anxiolytic, anti-convulsive, muscle relaxant and/or sedative-hypnotic active substances.</p> |
