PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lead a hooking bent portion of the terminal part of a plate into a fixing slit without fail by specifying an angle of opening of the hooking bent portion, and by winding the plate on a cylinder after the bent portion of the starting end part of the plate is hooked in the fixing slit. SOLUTION: A cylinder 1 of a rotary press has an axial fixing slit 4 extending into the cylinder 1 from an overcoat surface 3 of the cylinder 1, in order to mount a flexible plate 2 on the cylinder. The plate 2 having a thickness d2 of 0.3 mm, for instance, is favorably a printing plate. The plate 2 has hooking bent portions 8 and 9 at the starting end part 6 and terminal part 7, respectively. The hooking bent portions 8 and 9 are constituted of hooking leg portions 11 sand 12, respectively, and these hooking leg portions form an angleαof 45 deg., for instance, at the starting end part 6 and an angleβof 90 deg. or more, for instance, at the terminal part to the flat plate 2.
