PURPOSE: To ensure starting of a car mounting an automatic transmission on a low frictional coefficient road surface. CONSTITUTION: A holding mode adapted to a low frictional coefficient road surface which is set to an automatic transmission 12 is reflected on controlling on the side of an engine 11. An engine control unit 17 temporarily suppresses an output torque of the engine 11 until completion of starting, and suspends increase of an engine speed so as to warm-up. Starting is thus executed under the state of a low output torque and engine speed. Torque to be transmitted to the road surface from wheels is reduced, for preventing occurrence of slippage and stucking on the road surface of a low frictional coefficient. |
