PURPOSE: To rapidly cover a cable and prevent the generation of a wind-cutting sound by receiving the cable in the main body of a covering pipe and subsequently integrally fixing projected pieces formed on the outer surface of the pipe to form plural projections. CONSTITUTION: The method for covering the cable 2 comprises receiving the cable 2 in a polyethylene pipe main body 4 in a state wherein a notch 4 is opened, closing the opened notch 5, and subsequently integrally fixing projected pieces 6, to each other, disposed on the main body parts faced to the notch 5 to cover the cable 2 and simultaneously form plural projections 50, 50A on the surface of the covering pipe 1. The polyethylene pipe main body 4 has a colored outer surface and has the notch 5 in the longitudinal direction to cover the cable 2. In stead of the pipe main body 4, the cable 2 may be covered with polyethylene curved pieces having C-shaped cross-sections, molded in long shapes, and having projected pieces formed on both the curved sides in the longitudinal direction, respectively, from both the sides, and subsequently the projected pieces are integrally fixed to each other to cover the cable 2 and form plural projections on the covering pipe. Thus, the generation of a wind- cutting sound caused by the mutual collision of air whirl rows along the outer shape of the covering pipe can be prevented. |
