PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turning bearing device in a module form, easy to assemble later, almost maintenance-free and lasting long. SOLUTION: This turning bearing device for a railway car includes a bracket having a ball pin 7 and fixed to a first body and a bracket 8 or its equivalent having a ball pin bearing metal 10 and fixed to a second body. The bracket for the ball pin 7 is formed with a frame 2 open at its lower side and welded in a U-shape. One arm portion of the U-shaped frame 2 provided in the direction of the second body is formed as a holding pin 3 for the ball pin 7. The other arm portion is fixed and connected to the first body. The bearing metal 10 is fitted in the ball pin 7. The U-shaped frame 2 is removably closed at its lower side by a cap 4.
