PURPOSE: To suppress the generation of fuel vapor a returnless type fuel feeding device before the starting of an internal combustion engine and to prevent lowering of an amount of fuel injected through an injector during starting. CONSTITUTION: A motor-driven type pump 2 pumps up fuel from a tank 1 and discharges it. Fuel fed with a pressure by the pump 2 is distributed to respective injectors 7 through a deliver pipe 6 and fuel is injected through the respective injectors 7. A pressure regulator 3 arranged at the tank 1 regulates the pressure of fuel distributed to the respective injectors 7. Based on detecting values from two sensors 26 and 27, it is decided by an electronic control device (ECU) 9 based on detecting values from two sensors 26 and 27 whether an engine 8 during a stop is in a high temperature state. When it is decided by the ECU 9 that the engine 8 is in the high temperature state, by intermittently operating the pump 2 by the ECU 9 during a given period after a stop, a fuel pressure in the delivery pipe 6 is forcibly increased.
