PURPOSE: To provide a film having low rigidity, improved touch, and a heightened porosity by molding a composition comprising a polyethylene resin, a saturated hydrocarbon wax, and a particulate cellulosic filler into a sheet or film and stretching it. CONSTITUTION: 100 pts.wt. polyethylene resin having an MFR of 0.01-5g/10min is compounded with 5-100 pts.wt. saturated hydrocarbon wax having an m.p. of 50-150 deg.C, a weight-average mol.wt. of 300-10,000, a melt viscosity (140 deg.C) of 5-10,000cP, an acid value of 1 or lower, and a density of 0.8-1.0g/cm<3> and 5-100 pts.wt. particulate cellulosic filter having a particle diameter of 10-1,000μm to obtain a resin composition. This composition is heated to 150-250 deg.C and the melt is molded into a sheet or film. The molding is stretched 1.2-6 times at room temp. to a temp. not lower than the m.p. of the resin, and then heated at a temp. between 80 deg.C and the m.p. of the film. Thus, a film is obtained which has a porosity of 50% or higher, an air permeability of 1,000sec/100cc or lower, and a water resistance of 1,000mmH<2> O or higher.
