This computer is provided with physical processors and a physical memory as computer resources. Therein, the physical memory stores a program that implements a virtualization management unit that allocates computer resources that have been logically partitioned into logic partitions; the virtualization management unit has a resource management unit for managing the allocation of the computer resources and a scheduling processing unit for managing the allocation of processes with respect to the physical processors, and manages the allocation of the physical processors such that a logic processor included in the logic partitions monopolizes a physical processor, and conducts management such that an operating system can directly give a power management command to the physical processors; and the scheduling process unit monitors the conditions of the physical processors, specifies, when a common process emerges, physical processors predicted to be idle on the basis of the result of monitoring, and selects, from among the physical processors predicted to be idle, a physical processor which is to be allocated to the common process. |
