<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the optical characteristics by injecting a pressure liquid crystal raw material in a state of reducing the pressure in the interior of the cell gap. SOLUTION: With an injection control valve 12 provided in an injection device 10 adapted to store a liquid crystal material in an injection type inner container 11 closed, the interior of a cell gap is reduced to high vacuum by a pressure reducing pump 8 connected to a pressure reducing port through a hose 7. When the internal pressure of the cell gap becomes below a fixed range, a pressurizing device 13 is operated while the injection control valve 12 is opened to inject the liquid crystal material through a filling hole 30. Especially, the pressure at the time of injecting the liquid crystal material is controlled continuously by a pressure reduction control valve 6. Thus, the internal pressure reduced state of the cell is kept and pressure is applied to the liquid crystal material containing a liquid crystal and high polymer monomer, whereby the liquid crystal material is injected into the cell gap and high polymer monomer in the cell gap is hardened. Thus, the generation of bubbles at the time of injection can be restrained and the thickness of the cell can be easily controlled.</p> |
