Gearbox with two stage epicyclic gear

The gearbox comprises a motor (1) connected to a two stage epicyclic gear (2) which then connects to a drive element (3). The first stage of the gear is farthest from the motor. The motor's drive shaft (6,8) extends through the centre of the second stage's sun gear (10) to connect with the first stage's sun gear (11). The planetary gear (12) of the first stage connects to the drive element through the outer ring (13), and the carrier (14) is connected to the sun gear of the second stage. The planetary gear (15) of the second stage connects to the housing (9) via its outer ring (16), and via the carrier (17) it connects directly or indirectly to the drive element.
