<p>PURPOSE: To provide a toll collection system for vehicle with which it can be exactly discriminated whether there is illegality in the on-vehicle equipment of each vehicle or not even on the conditions that a small vehicle is traveled just behind a large vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A car type discriminator 1 discriminates the car type of each vehicle from its external form and weight, etc., and transfers these discriminated data to a lane controller 80. Besides, a controller 30 for read only antenna always continuously transfers the car type data read from a response signal from the on-vehicle equipment to the lane controller 80 while each vehicle is positioned inside a communication area 3a. Concerning the respective vehicles, the lane controller 80 compares car type discriminated data with car type data in the order from the vehicle that stops transferring the car type data, namely, from the vehicle that gets out of the communication area 3a and when those data are equal as a result, there is no illegality in the on-vehicle equipment but when those data are different oppositely, the existence of illegality is judged.</p> |
