The installation for gluing together cartons or sachets made of card or plastic includes a number of independent stations assembled above the line of a conveyor belt (7). The independent stations may include magazines for storage of components needed in the assembly, with a mechanism to place these components on the conveyor belt. The drive of the conveyor belt and those of the independent stations are not mechanically linked, each having its own drive system. The drive systems are all subject to a programmable electronic control which synchronises the operation of the independent stations with the movement of the conveyor.
