In the front side (11) of the rail (1) is a through, longitudinal gap opening for insertion of an insert part for a connecting unit (2) for take-off or connection of electrical current or data signals. The insert part is provided with a crossways beam with contact pins (52) for the conductors (43, 44). The beam can be pivoted inside the rail and moved towards the conductors. A lock device (40) secures the connecting unit in the contact position and the insert part and the contact beam form a rigid, pref. homogeneous unit, which, after the insert part has been inserted in the rail opening, is turned through a quarter of a turn towards the rail for establishing physical contact between the contact pin and the conductor. The unit is then locked in the contact position. The contact beam is formed as a traverse at one end of the connecting unit. |
